Why are people prejudice towards Arabians (horse question)?
I have heard bad comments about Arabians 
Why? I LOVE the breed! In my opinion it is the best breed. But many people do not feel the same why… Why do they have such bad reputations?
My friend owns TONS of Arabs! NONE of them are high spirited or any of the things you are accusing them to be! They are the most intelligent, human like horses I have even been around! and I have been around and worked with Hanoverians (and many other Warmbloods), ponys (TONS of ponies, mostly POA’s), Saddlebreds, Fox Trotters, Quarter Horse, and a few more breeds! I would prefer an Arabian over any other breed (except maybe the Hanoverian)!
Arabs tend to be pretty quick to outsmart those that are lacking in the sense department. They get bored with mundane activities and will often resort to entertaining themselves when they aren’t challenged enough. They are not for everyone and I think those that can’t get along with a horse that is smarter than them will bash them to cover up for their own weaknesses. My first horse was an Arab and I have found her to be highly intuitive. She can be quite the little bugger when I ride but is intelligent to know that there is a time and place for everything. Despite her never ending energy she is a favorite for little kids taking their first ride and always draws crowds in front of her stall. We all have our favorite breeds, mine is the Thoroughbred, and even though other breeds may not be my favorite, I don’t ever bash other breeds just because they don’t work for me. I’ve found that people that do this are trying to make up for some insecurity of their own and often aren’t worth the time to listen to their opinions.
